The Parisi Family
‘The Parisi Family’
It gives me great pleasure to bring to you yet another New Hampshire SPCA Adoption Success Story…
I have been working at the NHSPCA for almost 16 years after volunteering for 4 years before that. Although I consider myself a cat person, I truly can’t imagine my life without a dog or two or three! I have had a love of the Irish setter breed ever since I worked as a dog walker during my college years in Boston back in the 1970’s. My first Irish setter came from a family breeder but ever since then, all my Irish setters have come from shelters or breed rescue. You don’t have to go to a breeder or pet store to get a pure-bred dog! My current Irish setters are Kody, 14 years old, adopted from Adopt-A-Setter, and Emma, 10 years old, adopted from Magnolia Setter Rescue. And then, of course, there’s Nellie, my precious 14 year old Long-haired Chihuahua, adopted from the NHSPCA when she was only 12 weeks old and weighed 2 pounds. She has been my constant companion ever since then. Nellie accompanies me to work every day and is friendly, outgoing, laid-back and loves treats! Every one of my dogs over the years has been a treasured and adored family member.
